Dr. Kenneth Wetherington has been in practice at Back and Neck Doctors in Brandon, Florida since 1988. He is one of the rare Florida natives born and raised in the Tampa Bay area. After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of South Florida in Tampa, he then attended chiropractic college in Marietta, Georgia. He graduated from Life Chiropractic College as class Salutatorian in 1986. Dr. Wetherington is a Board Certified Chiropractic Physician in the states of Florida, Georgia and Virginia.

He is versed in several full-spine chiropractic manipulative techniques such as Thompson drop table, Gonstead, Activator and Diversified. He also utilizes a state-of-the art low-force computer generated adjusting instrument, PulStar, designed for patients with acute disc injuries and osteoporotic women. He has clinical interest and special training in the dynamics, treatment and rehabilitation of whiplash injuries. Having suffered two herniated discs himself, he has developed a passion to diagnose and treat disc injuries with many cutting edge, non-surgical treatments. He also treats several types of sports injuries with the use of extremity manipulation, physical medicine and rehabilitation.

Dr. Wetherington has been involved with a variety of sports and exercised all his life. He continues to participate in cycling events, water sports/skiing, as well as a competitive round of golf. He coaches high school girls fastpitch softball and a youth fastpitch softball team.

His mission is to coach patients on how to regain the active lifestyle they desire by having a strong and healthy back and neck. He will do whatever it takes to help you achieve these goals.
